Apache Tribe Ready To Move Forward With Casino Expansion
The Apache Gold Casino Resort in Arizona has been looking into expansion for nearly a year. They pieced through each step thoroughly to ensure they were precise in all their steps.
Now, after a long year, the casino has finally gotten the approval of the San Carlos Apache Tribal Council. The group voted unanimously to allow for the expansion. It is set to be a multi million dollar project.
"I feel comfortable in making this motion to approve this action because I feel that the tribe has completed it's due diligence by using a professional approach to defining the issues and coming up with economic development solutions for our people," said Harding Burdette, a Peridot Tribal Council member.
Some of the expansion will include food, while other aspects will be on the casino floor. An upgraded grill, a new buffet, and a sit down restaurant will be added to the casino resort.
600,000 square feet will be added for convention upgrades. They will now be able to host large conventions. They also will have the capacity to hold banquets and business meetings.
300 new jobs are expected because of the expansion. The gaming side of the expansion will include almost 800 gaming machines. The hotel will include an upgraded pool, and courtyard, and will also have more rooms available.
The project is set to begin on January 22nd at 1:00 A.M. for groundbreaking ceremonies.
