PokerTek Continues Growth By Entering California Casino
Dealers in casinos around the World should begin to keep an eye on some of the new technology that is being created. If the games that are entering the casino market now are successful, it might cause harm to dealers work security.
PokerTek has been offering its latest technology to California casinos, and they have been receptive to the new games. Five PokerPro tables have been brought in at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Palm Springs, California.
The game itself plays just like live poker. The only difference is their is a big center screen where community information is shared. Each player has their own screen showing their cards.
The idea is that casinos can get in more hands an hour with the machine generated cards, rather than dealers having to deal the cards. If more money can be made by more hands being dealt, it becomes an easy sell to casinos.
PokerTek is also up and running now at four California casinos. Expansion seems inevitable for a product that clearly is setting the standard for future poker games.
"PokerPro is a great addition to our casino. Removing our manual tables to put in PokerPro was an easy decision for us, considering the system's capabilities and benefits to us and our players," said Lou Crescenzo, the Vice President of Operations for fantasy Springs.
