World's Sexiest Band to Play Orleans Casino
The Exotic Erotic Strippers and Hustlers Ball is coming to the Orleans Casino August 30th and 31st, and the self-proclaimed "world's sexiest band' is scheduled to perform and demonstrate why they deserve the title. The Genitorturers, a hard rock band from Florida that also features elements of metal and industrial music, will be among the featured performers.
The band has been playing together since the early nineties. Discovered by Miles Copeland, founder of IRS Records and brother of Police drummer Stewart Copeland, the band received its first record contract in 1993.
Since then, the three-piece act has been covered on many television newsmagazines, including HBO's Real Sex and Playboy's Sexcetera, and was featured in a twelve-page spread in Hustler. "Evil D" Dave Vincent plays bass, Bizz handles guitar, and Gen sings and leads the band in outrageous acts.
As with earlier pioneers such as Frank Zappa, the words and actions of the band sometimes cause listeners to miss how strong the music is. Critics have shrugged off the erotic outfits and sexual perversity to note that the band can flatout play.
The theatrical and bizarre visuals of the Genitorturers may call Marilyn Manson to mind, but they carry a fuller, more realized sound.
The Orleans will be rocking all weekend with the Ball, referred to by E! Entertainment News as "the world's wildest and sexiest party", and the arrival of the Genitorturers and their fans, known amongst themselves as Genheads, will almost certainly be the icing on the cake.
