Hooters Casino Features a Pair of Good Things Combined

Hooters restaurants are thinking that gambling is one activity their customers would love to mix with girls, wings, and beer, so two Seattle stores will open with casino-style poker rooms as part of the establishment.

The restaurant chain Hooters is planning to move into the casino and gambling market, combining its successful brand with expanding entertainment options. Two Seattle locations of Hooters will open next week featuring poker rooms in addition to the usual wings-and-beer approach.

The concept is a development by Seattle franchisee Altium Development. Altium is using the well-known Hooters brand to increase and diversify entertainment draws at the restaurants, adding bowling alleys as well as the poker rooms. Altium officials say the idea became easy when it documented that casino patrons and Hooters customers tend to the same demographics.

The restaurants will also include deuling piano bars, state-of-the-art high-def big-screen televisions for sports watching, and a walk-up express to-go service window, featuring a limited fast-service menu.

The marriage of beautiful women and gambling is an ongoing one, with Las Vegas casinos approacing a test of the waters of combining strip clubs and casino gambling under the same roof. Topless pools and strip clubs applying for slot machines already are old news in Nevada. Hooters already runs a Las Vegas casino.

Bringing the cheery atmosphere and scantily-clad girls of Hooters to gambling and poker environs should be a natural mix. Until some moralist tries to press a law forbidding it, this mixture seems likely to be a successful combination.
