Support is Building in Kentucky For Casino Near Ohio River
Kentucky is the latest state to be going though sort of a crisis. They want to do anything possible to help improve their financial debt, but they know casino gambling might be their only way out.
Five mayor's from the state have thrown their support in the direction of legalizing casino gambling. They feel that if casino gambling is allowed, the place for it would be on the Ohio River.
A letter was sent to the Governor of Kentucky this month. In the letter it was described that the mayor's of Dayton, Bellevue, Ludlow, Covington, and Newport were in support of not only allowing casino gambling in the state, but also putting a potential new casino on the Ohio River.
The state of Kentucky is no different than many other states in the union. They are currently looking at a $434 million budget problem with no solution in sight. No solution except allowing casino gambling in the state. The Governor has stated that over $500 million could be generated in new revenue from casinos.
The Ohio River would seem like a logical choice for the new casino, according to the five mayor's.
