Las Vegas Casino Offers In-Play Gambling on Preakness
M Resort, the new Las Vegas casino noted for its strong customer service orientation, has expanded its in-running sports betting system to include Saturday's Preakness Stakes. The sports gambling system allows casino patrons to place bets on selected combinations throughout the horse race, closing betting only after reaching the final stretch.
Cantor Gaming developed and operates the in-running wagering system for the M. The software and operations were run during the NCAA basketball championship tournament, and will be available during the NBA playoffs and football season.
"We’ve seen tremendous interest at the M’s Sports Book with guests wanting to experience it (in-running gaming) for themselves. We could not be more pleased and look forward to offering guests the chance to place live bets during the Preakness this Saturday,” said Lee Amaitis, president of Cantor.
Participants are asked to open account at the M sports book, then can make bets as an event proceeds either at terminals on tables in the book or through portable betting tablets.
"Their (Cantor's) commitment to developing and delivering state-of-the-art technology has put the M Resort’s Race & Sports Book at the top of the list for sports bettors,” said Joseph A. Magliarditi, M Resort Executive Vice President and COO.
In-running sports betting has been a rapidly growing feature in countries with legal sports gambling.
