MGM Mirage Comes Up Big in Forbes Platinum 400 List
MGM Mirage has built their reputation by providing first class service to go along with their first class casino resorts. Now, they have been identified as being one of the best run company's in the country.
Forbes magazine has put out their list of 400 of the top corporations in the World, and MGM Mirage is high on the list. The company was one of nine companies that was recognized in their classification, "Hotels, Restaurants, and Leisure."
The companies were analyzed by Forbes in several different areas. Earnings, growth in sales, stock market returns, leverage, and earnings forecasts, were all determining factors in the rankings. In order to qualify, a company had to have positive equity, a $5 per share stock price, and at least $1 billion in revenue in the most recent fiscal year.
"The commitment to outstanding performance from each of our employees made this recognition possible," said Chairman and CEO of MGM Mirage, Terry Lanni. The last time the company made the prestigious list was in 2005.
Once the criteria from above was met, the editors and writers got to look into the companies in more detail. They examined innovation, leadership, and management ability, of the companies before coming up with the final list.
