Missoula Casino Robbed; Another in a Series?
Montana casinos continue to have security problems protecting their coffers from armed robbers, as a Missoula casino was robbed at gunpoint this morning. Around 5 a.m., the robber enterted the Lucky Diamond Casino, walked up to the cashier's box, and demanded the money from the till. The cashier gave him an undisclosed amount, and the suspect left on foot.
Police are still in the process of reviewing the surveillance video, and no description has yet been released.
Just over a month ago, casinos in Bllings Heights and Lolo, Montana were taken down in similar fashion on consecutive days. The Billings job was done by two robbers, one of whom had a gun and was described as tall, skinny, and wearing a green hoody. Lolo, close by to Missoula, had its Magic Diamond Casino robbed by a single gunman, who happened to be tall, skinny, and wearing a blue hoody.
In both instances as well as Missoula's, the crime was limited to the cashier's cage. Although the casinos and their multitude of security cameras and precautions seem helpless to stop random gunmen, at least the robbers have avoided hurting or harassing patrons.
As further news of the Missoula holdup become available, it will be interesting to see if the perpetrator is tall and skinny and wore a hooded sweatshirt. If so, perhaps the ghost of Jesse James has come to Montana, to take from the rich (casinos) and give to... well, at least take from the rich. Even Jesse had to eat, right?

| Rob from the rich? This type of comment shows just how naive (stup, idiot, dumb-*&^%) you really are)! You get paid to write this? Wow - I really am in the wrong biz. Not one word in your article about the hard-working people in our casinos that deal with these degenerates of society - all you can say is 'rob from the rich' - WOW did you go to journalist school for this? If you think the 'rich are getting robbed' then go pledge everything you own, or everything you have ever owned and will own, to get into this business. That way, instead of pledging NOTHING to write the 'intelligent' crap you write instead of something you actually earned might be listened to!!! | |

| I couldn't help but notice that nowhere was the 'author' of this article posted? Wow - what balls you have to write stuff like this and not put your punk-head, minimum wage earning, don't want to really work for your money, head on the line!!! Are your sure you don't live here? Only hippies that gripe about saving sea-turtles or trees do this kind of crap!!! At least put your name on it! | |

| Not really interested to discuss this but, scott, the author's name is listed at the end of the article. | |

| Scott, if you bothered to read my series of articles on the Montana robberies, I think you might have realized the "rob from the rich" line was tongue in cheek. I have pushed repeatedly for increased security and awareness as Montana has suffered a series of robberies, yet no connection nor apparent attempt to prepare better has been made. Each job was pulled in the least sophisticated fashion, with the robbers simply walking in with guns and leaving on foot, yet casino security and Montana law seem unable to prevent a continuation of the problem. Thanks for reading, even if you clearly did not understand what you read. | |
