St. Louis County and Pinnacle Entertainment reached an agreement this week on amending their lease and development agreement. The agreement will now allow Pinnacle to build the casino in two separate phases.

The River City project's first phase will be Pinnacle investing $375 million. Three restaurants will be built. A multi use community center will be built, equipped with athletic fields. A performance stage and a road connector are also part of the project. The casino, obviously will be completed also in the first stage.

The second stage is when the group will build a $75 million hotel. The hotel will have at least 100 rooms and will also contain other amenities that are not yet determined.

The new project comes at a good time for the county. Over 1,000 permanent jobs will be available upon completion of the project. 600 union construction workers jobs will also be created to construct the complex.
