Las Vegas Sands Corp. High On Big Cities For Casino in Kentucky
The Las Vegas Sands Corporation has been around for a long time. They have been one of the most successful casino operators in the United States. They know what works and what doesn't for casino locations.
They have reported about their findings in Kentucky. The word from the top is that they are only interested in the big cities when talking about adding one of their casinos in the state.
William P. Weidner is the chief operating officer of Sands. He has expressed interest in bringing the Sands brand into the Kentucky area. He told a House task force, however, that Sands would be most interested in the major cities for a new casino.
He specifically named Cincinnati and Louisville as possible site the company would be most interested in. He particularly liked the Louisville area, which he thinks can succeed even with the non smoking laws that are in effect. the population could carry a casino even with the laws, he believes.
The population of both cities would be a major attraction for anyone that is looking to bring casino gambling to the area. The Sands group is one of the options for the state of Kentucky, which is ready for casino gambling in the state.
