SugarHouse Casino Has License Revoked in Philadelphia

Mayor Nutter has announced that he has revoked the license that was issued to SugarHouse Casino by the previous administration.

SugarHouse Casino has been battling with the city of Philadelphia for a long time. That battle will now be taken to a new level after an announcement from the mayor today.

Mayor Nutter has announced that he has revoked the license that was issued to SugarHouse Casino by the previous administration. The Commerce Department was on the receiving end of Nutter's words on Thursday.

He called the move to issue the license "unnecessarily rushed", and claimed that it was "issued in error". The move now puts the ball in SugarHouses court. They must decide whether or not they will appeal the decision.

There has been a legal battle going on between the city and state lawmakers over the license. The lawmakers feel that the license should have to come from the state. The city claims that they have the right to issue the license. A lawsuit that would have had the Supreme Court hear the case is now considered irrelevant by Nutter.

The mayor has made it known that he is not happy with the site chosen for the new Foxwoods or SugarHouse casinos.
