Sun Cruz Casino Ship Will No Longer Sail From Florida Port
Sun Cruz might be best known for the untimely death of its founder. The casino cruise company has been offering gambling cruises in Volusia County, Florida for eleven years.
The company, on Monday, decided that the ship would no longer sail from Ponce Inlet. The decision actually was made before Monday, but today was the first day the ship failed to make its voyage.
Sun Cruz has not completely shut their doors to customers. People are being directed to the companies ship that sails out of Port Canaveral. The company has not completely turned its back on their customers. For the time being, customers can still go to the Ponce Inlet, where they will be bused to Brevard County.
The company did not give many details before closing down the ship. The ship sailed on Sunday at its scheduled time, but on Monday, did not go out. The current economy is something that hurt the business of the ship in Volusia.
Tides that prevented the ship from sailing at certain times was also mentioned as a cause for the sudden stop of sailing on Monday. Workers were surprised when they found out that they would no longer have jobs.
