Tropicana Now in Danger of Losing Nevada Casino Gambling License
Tropicana Entertainment has seen better days as a company. Earlier this month they lost their license to operate their casino in Atlantic City. The claim was that they could no longer provide five star service.
Now, Nevada officials are looking into the possibility of taking the license away for the Tropicana Casino in Las Vegas. Losing the license to run the Nevada casino would be a devastating blow to a company which is in dire need of cleaning up their image.
Nevada law is clear when it states that companies can be disciplined in the state if they are found to be in violation in another state. If they are found to be in violation of state law, Tropicana would have to close its Las Vegas casino.
The latest inquiry comes on the heels of Indiana gaming officials considering dropping their probe of Columbia Sussex, the parent company of Tropicana Entertainment.
Sussex owner Bill Yung has claimed that he wants to sell Casino Aztar in Indiana amidst allegations that he mislead local and state officials about cost cutting measures and layoffs.
In Atlantic City, Sussex and Tropicana have been forced to sell their casino and will not be allowed to profit from the sale.
