Tropicana Casino and Resorts Looking To Mitchel For CFO Post

Tropicana Casinos and Resorts has hired a familiar face for their Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer position.

Play Now at English Harbour! Tropicana Casinos and Resorts has been looking for a replacement for John G. Jacob for their CFO position, and they have found their man from within.

Theodore R. Mitchel was named today as the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer for Tropicana, a move that will go into effect on November 30th of this year.

The spot became available after Jacob decided to leave the company for a position with a company that was not related to the gaming industry.

Mitchel had been the Secretary Treasurer for Colombia Sussex, a Tropicana affiliate, since 1989.

Tropicana owner and CEO William J. Yung spoke of Mitchel, saying, "Ted has assisted with our casino properties for as long as we have been in the gaming business." He went on to speak of all of Mitchel's accomplishments, and said, "As a result, we think he is uniquely equipped to shepherd our financial affairs in the near and longer term."

Mitchel has a long resume but his work with Columbia Sussex in relation to Tropicana was what stood out and gained him his new job.
