Trump Could Be Part of Casino Gambling Expansion in Massachusetts
The Donald has fired many people in his run as televisions most difficult boss. Now he is turning his attentions back to his business sense. Trump is rumored to be considering a move into the casino market in Massachusetts.
Wonderland Greyhound Park is alleged to be in discussions with Trump over the development of a casino for the facility. Trump has been in the casino resort industry for a long time, and Massachusetts could be an up and coming market.
One of Trump's rivals, Richard Fields, also wants to build a casino in the area. The rivalry could heat up in the coming months after Governor Deval Patrick proposed to license three casinos in the state.
Charles Sarkis, the owner of Wonderland claimed that Trump called him on Monday to inquire about developing the casino resort.
"He was very intrigued by the situation. He said the Boston area is a place where there should be a casino. It makes all the sense in the world," Sarkis said.
The news is not all that shocking. Trump officials have been scouting areas around Massachusetts for potential casino sites.
