Play Now at Golden Casino! The Kickapoo-Sac and Fox Tribes have watched the ante get too high. The groups withdrew their p[roposal for a casino in Wyandotte County this week. Three groups will now move on to the stage of being reviewed by the Kansas Lottery Commission.

The Tribe group was supposed to be the last of all the groups to present their proposal. They realized, however, that they could not match the financial efforts of the other groups.

The tribes proposal was for a $400 million casino. The lowest proposal among the other three was $650 million. Once the tribe realized they were short, they withdrew their proposal.

The three remaining groups will now go before the Commsission. The final decision will be made at the state level. Only one will be approved.

A $670 million proposal came from Kansas Speedway and The Cordish Company. Pinnacle Entertainment has proposed a $650 million casino near Interstate 435. The other proposal came from Kansas City based Red Development LLC, in conjunction with Mohegan Sun and Olympia Group LLC. Their proposal was for a $770 million casino.
