Online Casino Affiliates Watch as CAP Tries Rebranding
The ugly meltdown at Casino Affiliate Programs has led to the company changing the name of its upcoming Amsterdam convention. The April event will now be called the Amsterdam Affiliate Conference, as the CAP name has lost credibility and value in the online casino industry.The meetings, previously called CAP Amsterdam, are to be held from April 30th through May 1st. One of the many issues with CAP that has become public during the current ownership dispute is the timing of its Amsterdam get-together. Casino Affiliate Convention Amsterdam is only a scant four weeks earlier.
CAP membership will no longer be required to attend, and iGaming is supposedly set to take over the production of the event, after sharing the duties with CAP officials since its inception two years ago.
CAP has been in a free-fall since questions of higged agendas and conflicts of interest arose over the last several months. After repeated denials by operators Lou Fabiano and Warren Jolly, and attempts to silence inquiries with multiple bannings from CAP forums, it was revealed CAP was indeed tied to a poker room and an online casino.
Since then, declining CAP business has caused Fabiano and Jolly to turn on each other, each seeking to cast the other as the bad guy. Their public smearing of each other has left them both stained and the CAP brand disgraced.
Jolly is reportedly the one in control of CAP, and the move to rename the Amsterdam conference and drop attendance requirements can only be seen as his desperate manuver to escape the stigma now attached to CAP.
