The Casino Affiliate Program (CAP) Scandal Becomes Clearer

CAP, or Casino Affiliate Programs, owner, Lou Fabiano is using semantics to confuse the CardSpike scandal in the online poker and gambling industry.

CAP Scandal In his latest video Lou Fabiano, owner of Casino Affiliate Programs, states that his parent company, Affiliate Media Group, who owns CAP, does not own CardSpike, the poker affiliate program that stopped paying out its affiliates.

Lou was defending statements against him in the video that claimed his company owns CardSpike. The Professor, as he's better known in the industry - because that is his administrative name on the CAP forums - stated that his companies don't own Cardspike, but that he, The Professor, through a different company he owns, works as an affiliate consultant for CardSpike.

Huh?

Lou claims that because CAP is not owned by the same company that owns the affiliate consulting company, than there is no connection/corruption. Fabiano claims that wanting the best for one company he owns, will not be intertwined with wanting the best for the other company he owns.

Huh?

Through our investigation we have found several former members of CAP who were kicked out of the forums for bringing up concerns about certain card rooms, casinos, and even some online bingo halls. Unfortunately, none of them wish to be revealed, but they all have information that is starting to appear more and more across the net on forums and in blog posts.

These members that were kicked out explained that they would merely wish to discuss concerns about a place just to straighten the situation out, then find their ability to post on the forum gone.

Ah-Ha!

"The original advertised goal of CAP was to have a place for affiliates and managers to discuss issues and come to resolutions," said one recently kicked out member of CAP.

"But Lou would promptly stop the jabber by either banning the member, or berating the member for bringing up the negative issue to the point where the member would be too scared or nervous to bring up an issue ever again."

When questioned about these tactics, our source tells us that Lou responded in an email by saying that he would not accept any negative talk about his sponsors on his forums.

Ah-Ha!

"He even went on to say that it would be better if I looked at the world with rose-colored glasses, that I would be happier."

LOL, now it's all starting to make sense.

Our source tells us that there is one specific casino he brought attention to while still on the forums that appeared to be involved in shady behavior. He got so shot down by The Professor that he was taken aback and dropped the conversation. "He just overreacted so much, it was very out of character," our source says. "There was something fishy about it."

Well, coincidentally, rumors over the past few days have been stirring in the industry that the casino our source spoke ill of, Absolute Slots, is also connected in some way to  The Professor and his 'other company'.

Is it a little clearer now?

Some videos from the the APCW, CAP, and Lou Fabiano can be found at CasinoMeister. A thread discussion by industry insiders on the situation can be found at GPWA. Currently, the issue is not allowed to be discussed at the CAP forums.

The Professor is such a jacka$$. I met him a few years ago at a conference, what a loser. I am glad this information is finally coming out. Great reporting!
