CAP Scandal Mushrooms Into Online Gambling Industry Debacle

The founders of CAP deserve to be shunned by industry members for their duplicity and the harm caused to every individual in the online casino community.

The ethically questionable behavior by the operators of Casino Affiliate Programs has resulted in an implosion at CAP, with the resignation of one of the owners and the blocking at the site's forums of any who utter a word about the controversy.

One thing that should be clear to all in the online gambling industry: while awaiting governmental regulation, the members of the industry and the community of players are capable of some remarkable detective work, once suspicions are aroused.

After intensive investigation, led by APCW Executive Director J. Todd as reported on his video series Perspectives Weekly, evidence has accumulated that CAP President Lou Fabiano and Administrator Warren Jolly had undisclosed ownership interest in the Cardspike poker room on the Cake Poker network.

Cardspike has been accused of not paying affiliate programs nor patrons. CAP, which ostensibly represents the interests of players and affiliates, was found to be strangely lacking in its assessment of Cardspike.

After many denials of any conflict of interest or undisclosed relationship, documents were obtained by J. Todd revealing direct links between the CAP leaders and Cardspike. Fabiano has since resigned. Meanwhile, the CAP forums operate as if the issue did not exist, banning any members who dare to discuss the charges.

The CAP convention in London is still scheduled, although the elephant in the room will certainly be the organization's lost credibility and the damage CAP has done to consumer confidence in online gambling.

The work of the GPWA and J. Todd must be complimented, and the founders of CAP deserve to be shunned by industry members for their duplicity and the harm caused to every individual in the online casino community.

I am not surprised as I tried to expose an issue in the forum 3 years ago and was banned.
