Churchill Downs Boycott Spreading Past Online Casino World
Two days ago, Online Casino Advisory gambling analyst Sherman Bradley proposed those angered and scared by the implications of the judge's decision in the Kentucky domain name case respond by boycotting Churchill Downs, TwinSpires.com, and Kentucky lotteries. Bradley reasoned that, if protecting these gaming venues as revenue producers were Governor Beshear's motivation for pushing the forfeiture case, then slowing the business of his taxed gambling ventures might force attention to the concerned citizens.

Bradley had suggested that Kentuckians not stop at refusing to attend or wager on races at Churchill Downs nor at not betting at TwinSpires.com, but also do as much business, including buying groceries and cigarettes, over state borders as possible.
DomainNameWire also notes Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and Kentucky Fried Chicken are all owned by Kentucky's Yum! Brands. Lexmark printers and ink cartridges are made in Kentucky. The site suggests not using these products, and writing the companies involved and letting them know how the Governor has displeased you.
Even Kentucky booster sites had become aware of the black eye Beshear's move has given the state. While one such blog shrugged off the potential boycott, it still criticized Beshear for allowing Kentucky's image to suffer on such a foolish case.

| I live in this horrific state of KY. Yes Beshear is spending our tax dollars, and using up valuable time to fight this most illegal, and an outright violation of Ky taxpayers rights. Not only this, we have children starving in the eastern part of the state, not far from where this so called gov lives. Our jobless rate is at an all time high, we have industry leaving the state, our children are not getting an education thats having, and, and, this idiot won the office by promising to put legal gambling casinos in our state, however, he was to stupid to realize the size of our conservative population, and that idea was rejected the first go around. He is not thinking about horse racing, he is getting back at the ones who would not help him,. This jerk would be happy for all to boycott Churchill Downs, they were his biggest rival in the Casino Gaming Bill. In a nut shell, this guy is a lier, a thief, and is guilty of "abuse of power" We all need to take a very forceful stand against this Gov, and the JUDGE, do you ever wonder if maybe this judge has some sort of tie to this Gov? I mean come on, a person without a law degree can read and understand that this State has no right legally to undertake a law suite of this kind. I have urged everyone I can to stand up and demand that this guy be investigated. Something is going on here for a Judge to allow something like this to go on. Its shame on us if we just sit back and ignore what this guy has done. Think about what could happen to the internet if he is crooked enough to get this through all the way to the top? Think about this, I want to go to on vacation to an international area that has a casino/hotel. I purchase my reservations from my own home, at my own computer, if this Gov found out, could he own the casinos/hotels website>>> If I purchased wine in Ind, via internet, could this guy own the winery because I did it? What about people who have very questionable international banking actions, and, transfer funds into an American Bank, could this guy own the banks if it was done online? Why doesnt this guy go after the online sites that sell prescription drugs? Canada maybe??? You know he could do some good if he spent his time and our money going after REAL online preditors,,,like those who hurt our kids? Nope, thats not as important to him than this fruadulent, and illegal act he is moving on....Come on America wake up,,,,this is just a beginning,,,Stand up let your word be heard, if he gets away with violating our rights, and uses our money to do it,What on Gods green earth is next? | |
