CryptoLogic Introduces Video Game to Online Casinos
The separation between slot machines and video games narrowed considerably today with the announcement by CryptoLogic that it is releasing an array of new slot games, including one featuring the popular video game Street Fighter.
CryptoLogic's Street Fighter II slot version will include the ability to play as many of the characters from the video game version, including Ken, Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li and Sagat. Characters battle as in the video version, only with payoffs based on strong performances. A re-spin against the evil Bison can result in some of the highest jackpots found online.
The Street Fighter video game was introduced in 1987 as the first of the video fighting games, a genre which has exploded in popularity. Street Fighter II followed in 1991. The Street Fighter series has generated over a billion dollars in revenue.
Another game with stunning graphics and animation was also introduced by CryptoLogic. Movie Mayhem is a four-level progressive jackpot game, featuring scenes and categories from a series of movie genres. The game includes random jackpots, interactive bonuses, and free spins.
CryptoLogic Vice President Justin Thouin said, "CryptoLogic's latest casino games showcase the player knowledge, creativity, and talent on our software team."
CryptoLogic games are found through licensees of the company's subsidiary, WagerLogic.
