FreeBingo UK Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October 2008 is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and market-leading, free online bingo site FreeBingo UK (http://www.freebingo.co.uk) has 'Gone Pink' in support of the campaign.
FreeBingo UK has lots of useful information on Breast Cancer awareness sites and charities (see www.freebingo.co.uk/bingo/breastcancerawareness08.asp ;).
The aim of the campaign, and the site’s changes, is to assist in raising awareness of the need of all women to check themselves on a regular basis. The ‘TLC’ campaign (Touch, Look, Check) is central to the fight against breast cancer.
FreeBingo UK’s first ever female caller is local radio and TV star, Georgey Spanswick. Georgey features on the local radio breakfast show and she took part in a ‘pink’ photo-shoot, sporting a bright pink wig and hat! The Pink Bingo Room was launched on October 1st and will run throughout the month. The ‘pinked’ home page, re-designed site logo and pink forum and blog page will also be live throughout October.
Wayne Howe, manager of FreeBingo UK, said, “Breast Cancer awareness is very important to women of all ages. As a website that has large percentage of female customers are very happy to support the campaign. If by playing online bingo at our site we help even just one woman from this disease then we will have helped. And we have to say a huge thank you to our caller, Georgey Spanswick, who has been fantastic.”
