Kentucky Online Casinos Case Continues to Build Boycott

Last week, Online Casino Advisory senior gambling analyst Sherman Bradley called for a boycott of Kentucky products, especially those in the gambling industry like TwinSpires.com, Churchill Downs, and the state lottery. Bradley's argument was that a boycott was the best way for individuals to gather and express consternation over the Kentucky Internet casino domain name case.

The boycott has gathered backing, and now a wide range of sources are echoing the call. First to join in and even offer expanded targets in the Kentucky economy was Domain Name Wire, which suggested including such businesses as Yum! Enterprises, owners of Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell.

A website has been created at BoycottKentucky.com. Started by Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, owner of AmericanFlags.com, the site features ongoing blogs with ideas about how to get Governor Steve Beshear notice how many people he has angered.

Reynolds suggests that all individuals who are worried or offended by the governor's attempt at censoring the Internet call Beshear's office on Friday, October 31st. The number to call is (502) 564-2611.

Reynolds has also called out the American Civil Liberties Union, asking why they are absent on this case involving fundamental American freedoms. He goes on to blog about why this case is important far beyond the world of online casino sites, and points out the slippery slope on which Beshear treads.

Reynolds explains why he followed Bradley's call to action and formed BoycottKentucky.com on the site. 'BoycottKentucky.com was created to educate the public about the over-reaching and unconstitutional actions of Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and to harness the economic, political and social pressure necessary to force a reversal of his actions."

As more citizens line up to register their displeasure at Beshear's course of action, the political pressure builds for the governor to find some way to back out of the mess he has constructed.
