Joking speculation that Hollywood trainwreck Lindsay Lohan may end up doing x-rated movies has suddenly become a serious possibility. Online casinos and Internet gambling sites are starting to take bets on whether Lohan will appear in a sex film in the next twelve months.Online gambling sites in England and across Europe often offer odds on social events, including American Idol competition, the Oscars, and the Presidential election. The latest hot tidbit open for wagering is the rumor that actress Lindsay Lohan will do a porn shoot.
While pundits have said for some time Lohan's ruined career leaves her pornography as the only way to continue to get movie roles, no one really believed a one-time A-list performer would cross the adult taboo. But Lohan is out of money, still living an extravagant lifestyle, and virtually unemployable after wrecking her working reputation.
Lohan was seen driving a Maserati belonging to a porn producer over the last week or so. Dennis DeSantis, producer of such films as "Butt Sluts", lent Lohan the car while pushing her to make what might be a record-selling porn flick.
Celeb website What Would Tyler Durden Do says the plan being pushed for Lindsay is to film an amateur-style sex tape, release it as a personal item that was stolen, and then pay her millions in the public disguise of a legal settlement. This format has already been used to boost the public recognition of no-talent D-listers Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.
But Lohan is already far more famous, and notorious, than either of those attention whores. And Lindsay was known as a talented actress before her drug and alcohol problems stemming from her horrendous parenting overwhelmed her career.
Surely a scripted movie, shot by a name studio like Vivid, would pay Lohan the money she needs, allow her to act, and not even dent her reputation more than her personal antics have done. Ex-Miss USA Kelli McCarty, a regular for years on daytime TV, just recently did exactly that.
Online casinos have posted numbers from 3-1 to as high as 6-1 on LiLo's porn adventure. But it could be easy money for a thoughtful player. After all, who's higher right now in public esteem, Lindsay Lohan or Jenna Jameson?
Esteemed director Steven Soderbergh of "Traffic" and "Erin Brokovich" fame is making a new film starring Sasha Grey, the 20-year-old star of over 100 hardcore films. Perhaps after Lindsay's made 100 x-rated films, she'll be ready to work with someone like Soderbergh.
