Spanish-Speaking Countries, the Focus of Online Casino Marketing

In a recent survey of online casino marketing professionals, over 1/2 admitted they are focused on attracting Spanish players.

Play Now at English Harbour! Online casinos are continuing to see strong expansion among Spanish speaking people across the globe, mainly in Latin American countries. In a survey of online casino marketing professionals, over 1/2 claimed they are stepping up efforts to attract Spanish players.

The popularity of online casinos in these areas seems to be increasing day-by-day, especially as the cities expand their internet infrastructures. One could argue that people in these countries have a higher tendency to stay-at-home and play online, instead of driving to a land-based casino. This could be due to higher gas prices, or simply a facet of their family-centric culture.

With the advancement of high-speed internet in developing countries, and as the cost of providing the service decreases, online casinos are aggressively advertising in these market segments. The two largest Spanish-speaking markets for the online casino industry are Mexico and Spain, both supply a large amount of players and revenues for the online gaming outfits.

Nowadays, most online casinos have a Spanish version of their software and a large staff of Spanish-speaking professionals to manage the support service. These services include live chat, email, and other communication tools that online casinos must provide to their customers.

In 2006, the online casino industry was estimated at over $12 billion dollars in total market share, most of which comes from players living within the United States. As the industry continues to rise in double-digits each year, analysts are expecting to see the profits rising in Latin American countries especially.
