Microgaming Internet Casino Games May Come to Canadian Lotteries
While US residents must wait for the opening of the domestic gaming market to have an opportunity to play at Microgaming online casino games, Canadians may shortly have a slew of the popular games available. Betware announced this week it has reached a deal with Microgaming to market the company's Internet gambling products to state and national lotteries.
Betware already provides gaming platforms and a selection of games to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. Recently, news leaked that the provincial lotteries in Canada have made plans to offer a unified system of online casino gaming for the entire country.
The Betware deal will also make Microgaming games more accessible to such countries as Denmark, Spain, and Iceland, all of whose lotteries use Betware as a source for gambling solutions. Other lotteries may be expected to sign up now that the powerful Microgaming brand comes from Betware.
“Betware’s long history in gaming combined with its extensive lottery network will be beneficial in pushing the Microgaming brand into exciting new territories and markets," stated Microgaming CEO Roger Raatgever. 'We look forward to a long and successful working relationship.”
Betware CEO Stefan Hrafnkelsson said the agreement should benefit both companies, as well as the lotteries and the players at the lottery online gambling sites.
"Queen of the Jungle," "Lady in Red," and "Thunderstruck II" are among the latest releases from Microgaming, which produces four new slot machines monthly.
