Casino Company Announces Online Gambling on Ongoing Poker Events
Caribbean Gaming and Casino Corporation announced it will be offering online viewing and gambling on live poker tournaments as they occur. Betting will include plays on individual hands, particular players, and tournament results.Caribbean said it would begin a partnership with Tradewinds Broadcasting Corporation to use the technology needed to make the coverage possible. The product will carry live streamlined images from real-time games, broadcast on the Internet.
By bringing the action live, rather than edited and presented later as is commonplace on television, Caribbean officials expect to generate new fans with a higher level of excitement, especially once personal action is involved.
"The difference is like watching a live sporting event instead of a time delayed game with a determined outcome," remarked Steven Swank, president of Caribbean Gaming and Casino. "It is an interactive experience never offered before now. We hope to have this up and running by late 2009."
"Integration of live play and online wagering on the players themselves brings a whole new dimension to the rapidly growing number of Texas Hold Em fans," stated Allen Engebretsen, a Director of Tradewinds Media.
