Online Casinos Taking Gambling Action on Spelling Bee

Online casinos may strictly block children participation at gambling, but they never said anything about participating at gambling on children.

Today signals the start of the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. In recent years the contest has come to receive extended coverage on ESPN, and, like most events on the sports network, gambling at online casinos has become a popular way to increase the excitement.

Two hundred ninety-three contestants are entered in this year's contest. The event starts with all participants taking a written test, accomplished yesterday. After today, the field will have been winnowed down to fifty kids.

Semi-finals start tomorow morning, with live ESPN coverage, and the final will actually be broadcast live tomorrow night on ESPN owner ABC.

BetUS.com is allowing several intriguing plays to those who like a personal reason to cheer on the spellers. Amale is considered more likely to win, with play offered at -130 for a boy to win and -110 for a girl.

Most of the plays have an equally large gap, as is usual for trick plays of dubious predictability. The length of the winning word at ten letters or more is a -130 play, while anything nine letters or less takes a -110 play to win 100.

Other possibilities for wagering include whether any of the contestants will faint or vomit from the pressure, whether a parent yells at officials, and whether the winner wears glasses.
