Online Casino Boycott of Kentucky Continues With Phone Barrage

The number to call to register disapproval of Beshear

The boycott of Kentucky industries initiated by Online Casino Advisory's own Sherman Bradley continues to receive coverage across the Internet, and has drawn inspired ideas regarding ways to get Governor Beshear's notice.

The website BoycottKentucky.com is pushing for a day-long phone assault upon the governor's office. The number to call to register disapproval of Beshear's ongoing attempt to seize 141 Internet casino domain names is (502) 564-2611.

Blogs of all nature across the web have written in support of the boycott, and against the proposed censorship of the Internet. Public response, including that of Kentucky voters commenting on online sites, has been virtually unanimous in its rejection of the Kentucky position.

Alert citizens have pointed out the hypocrisy of seeking to "protect the children" from exposure to gambling, while pushing horse racing at Churchill Downs, and allowing the most minimal age checking at TwinSpires.com.

The surprising number of voters who found themselves drawn by Ron Paul's campaign and his ideas of limited government now find themselves using the boycott and Internet discussion forums as means to let Beshear know he will not sneak this unconstitutional order by them.

WebProNews, a highly regarded site featuring video coverage of news concerning the Internet, broadcast an interview with senior online gambling analyst Sherman Bradley. It brought out Bradley's reasons for advocating a boycott, and examined the terrible precedents Beshear is trying to set.

Some sites have run photos of Beshear photoshopped to look like the evil emperor from Star Wars. This is not so far a comparison, as those who have followed the movie series know the emperor was a senator in a democracy, who used scare tactics like protecting the children to get citizens to give up their rights.
