Online Casino Future Unveiled in Dominican Republic
The grand opening of the Sosua Bay Grand Casino not only showcased the land-based gambling venue, but also gave the world a peek at what may be the future of online casinos everywhere. Casino officials operated real-time remote gambling on roulette from the new resort.
The Caribean Casino and Gaming Corporation, owners of the Sosua Bay casino, have reached a ten-year deal with Kenilworth Systems to employ the software needed to operate the Internet gambling platform. Kenilworth has patents on technology used for real-time online gaming in the US and 51 other countries.
CEO Steven Swank of Caribbean said that thew demonstration of remote roulette showed how "we plan to capture a part of what has the potential of being
as much as $500 billion in total global Internet wagering in the near future."
Many online casino patrons are wary of software determining game results, especially after a series of online poker scandals involving corrupted software. Real-time gambling on the Internet would do much to salve concerns, if technology could make the presentation viable and dependable.
Caribbean and Kenilworth are promising an international demonstration of remote real-time casino table gaming within the next month. This event will also be held at the Sosua Bay casino complex.
